Energy resources

Throughout more than 30 years of operation, NADRA GROUP companies have gained significant experience in providing a comprehensive range of services for projects related to the study and utilization of energy resources. This includes conducting field geophysical surveys: approximately 5,000 square kilometers of 3D seismic exploration, 7,400 linear kilometers of 2D seismic exploration, and over 1,000 square kilometers of gravity and magnetic surveys, as well as 35 well seismic exploration projects. Geophysical surveys and operations have been carried out in over 700 open-hole wells and in more than 500 cased wells, including experience gained from work on offshore platforms within the Ukrainian part of the Black and Azov Seas shelf.

The majority of geophysical services were delivered using internally developed tools. NADRA GROUP companies manufactured more than 200 types of well monitoring equipment, among the most prominent were: heat and pressure-resistant equipment for ultra-deep wells, sonic waveform logging tools, electrical and induction logging tools, borehole geometry tools, radioactive logging equipment, as well as equipment for ore logging, and many others, including unique ones.

In addition to NADRA GROUP companies, the primary customers for well monitoring tools and geological exploration equipment were leading geophysical firms from Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Work experience: manufacturing and supplying over 2000 well monitoring tools to well logging companies; developing, producing, and delivering modular digital logging tools to clients; creating multi-probe software and hardware units for wide-wave acoustic survey for the control of hydrofracturing; producing digital gyroscope inclinometers.

The Data Processing Center has processed and interpreted geological and geophysical information from over 8,000 linear kilometers of 2D seismic data and 5,000 square kilometers of 3D seismic data. It has compiled and defended over 350 reports on geological survey, reserves evaluation, and audit, including constructing detailed filtration-capacity oil and gas field models, conducting geological and economic assessments of energy resource deposits, providing consulting services, and conducting scientific research. Additionally, 5 real-time hydrodynamic oil and gas field models have been developed.

NADRA GROUP companies offered integrated services, spanning from geological assessment of exploration fileds to the management of their development. The primary focus of NADRA GROUP companies' activities was on prospecting and exploring new hydrocarbon deposits.

Since 2015, there has been a notable decrease in investments in prospecting and exploring new oil and gas fields. This was partly due to the imperative of adapting to a low-carbon future and partly due to the compelled cost optimization of oil and gas extraction companies worldwide, considering both their environmental impact and the durable payback period of projects.

Given the urgent threats of climate catastrophe, primarily stemming from the use of fossil fuels, experts from NADRA GROUP companies have unanimously decided to exit the market for exploring new oil and gas fields and to sell related equipment. According to the assessment by geologists from NADRA GROUP companies, the diminishing demand for oil and gas resources can be addressed by enhancing recovery from existing or depleted fields.

Today, NADRA GROUP companies provide consulting services to production companies on utilizing depleted fields and oil and gas wells for carbon dioxide sequestration, as well as mitigating significant environmental impacts of the oil and gas industry operators.

Thus, since 2015, the main activity of NADRA GROUP companies in the oil and gas industry has been their participation in the processes of green transition and green transformation.
