Management of partnership projects

The NADRA GROUP companies, in addition to offering their own specialized services and producing and supplying tools and equipment, provided clients with a comprehensive suite of integrated solutions to ensure the successful implementation of their projects. These integrated solutions were delivered by both NADRA GROUP-affiliated companies and independent third-party service and equipment providers. In this role, NADRA GROUP companies served as general contractors for the projects, taking full responsibility for the entire range of integrated solutions provided to their clients.

Alongside the linear business of affiliated companies, NADRA GROUP has initiated a network business, becoming the operational centre of a broad network of partner enterprises. These partners collaborate to support the interests of service and product suppliers and their consumers, facilitating the efficient and balanced use of natural resources in various countries worldwide through diverse projects and programs.

By providing services to three consumer groups—investors, manufacturing companies, and governments—and understanding their unique needs and interconnections, as well as the necessity for cooperation and harmonizing interests during project execution, NADRA GROUP companies implemented a new model of balanced and profitable business.

NADRA GROUP's integrated solutions helped clients enhance overall efficiency, reduce potential risks, adapt to changing conditions, optimize technologies to lower costs, and complete projects on time.

NADRA GROUP selected contractors for the entire value chain and aimed to deliver a complete range of integrated solutions required by clients. Through effective planning, coordination, and process organization, they achieved a synergistic effect from the collaboration of participants in integrated geological exploration and extraction projects, all united by a common goal.

The experience and expertise gained by NADRA GROUP companies enabled them to develop project management within their network of partners as a distinct business direction, significantly expanding their activities.

The first integrated project in NADRA GROUP companies' network business was the involvement with the Ukrainian Foreign Economic Oil and Gas Corporation "Ukrzarubizhnaftogaz," established in 1992. It was a voluntary coalition of 37 enterprises within Ukraine's oil and gas sector, encompassing production and service companies, machinery and pipe product factories, design and research institutions, among others.

Under the directive of the Ukrainian Government, the corporation brokered interstate agreements with oil and gas extraction enterprises in the Russian Federation, facilitating the export of products and services from 98 Ukrainian enterprises in exchange for equivalent volumes of oil and gas supplies.

With a 2.5% stake in its authorized capital, NADRA GROUP companies actively participated in the corporation's projects, overseeing the execution of scientific research and projects, offering geological and geophysical services to Ukrainian service companies, and serving as suppliers of geological, geophysical, drilling, and oil and gas equipment.

Thanks to NADRA GROUP companies' efforts, numerous Ukrainian enterprises in the geological exploration and oil and gas sectors could sustain their operations in a difficult period of their history, receiving payment in the national currency from the corporation's sales of Russian oil and gas on Ukraine's domestic market.

In their partnership with the corporation "Ukrzarubizhnaftogaz," NADRA GROUP companies showcased their proficiency in executing large-scale integrated projects, leveraging the scientific and technical capacities of Ukrainian enterprises. Consequently, a considerable portion of Ukrainian manufacturers of goods and services seized the opportunity to enhance and modernize their infrastructure, while also venturing into new markets.

The expertise gleaned by NADRA GROUP companies throughout their engagement with the corporation's projects acted as a driving force for the expansion of their network business.

Through their participation in the corporation's initiatives, a robust network of Ukrainian partner enterprises emerged, paving the way for the continued growth of NADRA GROUP companies' network operations.

One instance of collaborative integrated projects with partners is exemplified by the cooperation between NADRA GROUP companies and the prominent global oilfield service provider, Halliburton Company (USA), which commenced in 2000. The delegation of NADRA GROUP visited the central office of Halliburton in Houston (Texas), where they made a report on the prospects for the development of the oil and gas industry of Ukraine and got acquainted with the production facilities of this company.

The companies pooled their resources to participate in numerous tenders in Ukraine, offering services in oil and gas fields utilizing advanced technologies from Halliburton Company (including services such as perforation using perforation systems and cumulative charges Millennium produced by Halliburton Company). They also collaborated in organizing and hosting international scientific and technical conferences, exhibitions, and presentations.

In 2013, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kyiv, NADRA GROUP companies and Halliburton Company jointly organized a Technology Day for Ukrainian production and extraction companies, focusing on "Advanced Exploration and Extraction Technologies." This event served as a platform for bringing together suppliers and customers of specialized services and products.

On November 11, 2021, the subsidiary of the NADRA GROUP, LLC "Halliburton Ukraine," and the State Enterprise "Scientific Research Institute of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Industry "MASMA," signed a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation. The purpose of this memorandum is to implement specific steps of the EU Green Deal in Ukraine, uniting the intentions, competencies, efforts, and opportunities of the parties. Together, they aim to develop effective decarbonization strategies for gas production companies, implement technological know-how to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and establish structured corporate reporting in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.

Considering the imminent threats of climate catastrophe largely linked to fossil fuel consumption, experts at NADRA GROUP Companies unanimously decided in 2015 to exit the exploration market for new oil and gas fields and divest corresponding equipment.

Based on geological evaluations conducted within the companies, the declining demand for oil and gas resources can be addressed by boosting extraction from existing or depleted fields.

Therefore, in 2021, NADRA GROUP's subsidiary signed a memorandum of cooperation with HALLIBURTON Company to introduce advanced practices, methods, and groundbreaking innovative technologies to Ukraine. The objective is to enhance extraction from mature fields currently under development in Ukraine.

The expertise and competencies developed by NADRA GROUP in implementing projects for the exploration and extraction of energy, mineral, and water (groundwater) resources have enabled the company to establish management of projects for the network partner companies as a distinct business line.

NADRA GROUP employs the PMBOK traditional project management methodology (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing).

NADRA GROUP has established a portfolio project management system, implemented necessary methodologies and regulations, operates according to established standards, and maintains knowledge bases of best practices, technologies, suppliers, specialists, and more.

The project management system ensures a transparent environment for participant interaction at all project stages. Within a unified software environment, the project office manages documents, tasks, schedules, budgets, resources, production and supply chains, outcomes and quality, and project information and communications.

The software environment of the project management system is flexible and can be tailored to fit projects across various industries and countries.

The rapid expansion of the international network of partner enterprises and areas of activity has allowed NADRA GROUP to move to the next level of todays’s business: managing the global digital ecosystem project ONEGEO.COM.
